Start-up fund for Lilian: reopening a flower stall after a long illness and repossession

Lilian has run a flower stall for four years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $500 will put it back on its feet.

Ogbomosho
For four years I have run a flower stall in Ogbomosho. In September, a long illness and repossession took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $500 goes: • Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $195 • Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $135 • Shop repairs and licensing: $80 • Working capital for the first month: $90 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Lilian

Good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 21 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
