Start-up fund for Kevin: reopening a fish stall after floodwater
A fish stall in Naivasha needs help replacing a freezer and scales after floodwater.
🇰🇪 Nakuru, Kenya630 views
For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Naivasha. In July, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Initial stock: the first catch: $90
• Working capital for the first month: $85
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $225
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this, Kevin. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Take care, Kevin. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
