Start-up fund for Józef: reopening a laundry service after a storm that collapsed the roof
Józef lost two washing machines and a dryer to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $650 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For nine years I have run a laundry service in Kraków. In February, a storm that collapsed the roof took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $230
• Shop repairs and licensing: $175
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $245
If you're reading this, thank you.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Józef
Working capital for the first month is $230 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Ask me anything else.
Praying for you, Józef. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
