Start-up fund for Jose: reopening a laundry service after a long illness and repossession
Jose lost two washing machines and a dryer to a long illness and repossession and needs $2,900 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For three years I have run a laundry service in Los Angeles. In February, a long illness and repossession took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $1,550
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $810
• Shop repairs and licensing: $300
• Working capital for the first month: $240
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
