Start-up fund for Imelda: reopening a street-food cart after a fire in the building
Imelda lost a gas stove and two refrigerators to a fire in the building and needs $300 to reopen a street-food cart and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in Davao City. In August, a fire in the building took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $50
• Initial stock: ingredients: $125
• Shop repairs and licensing: $125
Every share and every dollar helps.

So sorry you're going through this. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Davao City.
Praying for you, Imelda. Small businesses are the heart of Davao City. Hope you're open again soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
