Start-up fund for Ibrahim: reopening a small grocery stall after floodwater
Ibrahim lost a cold-storage unit to floodwater and needs $650 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a small grocery stall in Gwagwalada. In August, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $420
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $80
• Shop repairs and licensing: $30
• Working capital for the first month: $120
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending good thoughts. Small businesses are the heart of Gwagwalada. Hope you're open again soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Gwagwalada
Thank you. If you're in Gwagwalada I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thanks for sharing this. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Greetings from Fresno
