Start-up fund for Ian: reopening a flower stall after a fire in the building
A flower stall in San Jose needs help replacing display cabinets and a cooler after a fire in the building.
🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States3,817 views
For three years I have run a flower stall in San Jose. In February, a fire in the building took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $890
• Working capital for the first month: $570
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $2,390
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this, Ian. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of San Jose.
