Start-up fund for Hasan: reopening a laundry service after a fire in the building
Hasan lost two washing machines and a dryer to a fire in the building and needs $350 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a laundry service in Cox's Bazar. In January, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $175
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $40
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Working capital for the first month: $70
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending love, Hasan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 30 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thinking of you and your family, Hasan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Bogotá!

Thanks for sharing this. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Seoul donated after I showed her your page.
You're not alone. Small businesses are the heart of Cox's Bazar. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Cox's Bazar.
