Start-up fund for Habib: reopening a roadside café after a fire in the building
A roadside café in Dhaka needs help replacing an espresso machine and grinder after a fire in the building.

For nine years I have run a roadside café in Dhaka. In April, a fire in the building took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $70
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $340
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $40
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

wishing you the best, Habib. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Praying for you, Habib. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
