Start-up fund for Florence: reopening a flower stall after the demolition of the market
Florence has run a flower stall for four years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $450 will put it back on its feet.

For four years I have run a flower stall in Kinondoni. In July, the demolition of the market took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $35
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $355
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Stay strong, Florence. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Cairo.
Sending strength, Florence. Shared this with my family
Stay strong, Florence. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
So sorry you're going through this, Florence. Small businesses are the heart of Kinondoni. Hope you're open again soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
Wishing you peace, Florence. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
