Start-up fund for Do-yoon: reopening a neighborhood bakery after the demolition of the market
A neighborhood bakery in Gangnam needs help replacing a commercial oven after the demolition of the market.
🇰🇷 South Korea2,722 views
For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Gangnam. In August, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $500
• Working capital for the first month: $410
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,990
Thank you for reading my story.
