Start-up fund for Dinesh: reopening a small grocery stall after a break-in
Dinesh has run a small grocery stall for twelve years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $550 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a small grocery stall in New Delhi. In February, a break-in took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $270
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $70
• Working capital for the first month: $110
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you peace. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Thanks for sharing this, Dinesh. Small businesses are the heart of New Delhi. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
