Start-up fund for Devi: reopening a roadside café after floodwater
A roadside café in Pune needs help replacing an espresso machine and grinder after floodwater.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India1,167 views
For nine years I have run a roadside café in Pune. In August, floodwater took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $110
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $175
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you and your family, Devi. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Salem
Good luck, Devi. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
