Start-up fund for Courtney: reopening a fish stall after the demolition of the market
Courtney has run a fish stall for nine years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $4,100 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a fish stall in Québec. In July, the demolition of the market took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $4,100 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $2,650
• Initial stock: the first catch: $540
• Shop repairs and licensing: $590
• Working capital for the first month: $320
Thank you so much.
Updates from Courtney
Update from Québec: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 51% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Small update. $635 so far, the plan for initial stock: the first catch is now scheduled.

I hope things turn around soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Québec.
Praying for you, Courtney. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
thinking of you, Courtney. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
