Start-up fund for Concetta: reopening a sewing studio after a long illness and repossession
Concetta lost a cutting table and overlocker to a long illness and repossession and needs $800 to reopen a sewing studio and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a sewing studio in Verona. In August, a long illness and repossession took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $290
• Working capital for the first month: $290
• Initial stock: fabric: $220
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Keep going. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Wollongong so I could bring a meal.
Hope it all works out, Concetta. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Verona.
Sending strength. This could happen to any of us. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Pune.
