Start-up fund for Chinedu: reopening a fish stall after a break-in
Chinedu has run a fish stall for twelve years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $300 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Ikeja. In November, a break-in took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $85
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $150
• Initial stock: the first catch: $65
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this, Chinedu. Shared it with a few friends. I hope February is when things finally get easier.
Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Ikeja.
