Start-up fund for Caterina: reopening a fish stall after a storm that collapsed the roof
A fish stall in Milan needs help replacing a freezer and scales after a storm that collapsed the roof.

For nine years I have run a fish stall in Milan. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $2,450
• Initial stock: the first catch: $480
• Shop repairs and licensing: $320
• Working capital for the first month: $450
Every share and every dollar helps.

Small businesses are the heart of Milan. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor in Dodoma donated after I showed her your page.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Caterina.
Sure. The biggest one is replacing a freezer and scales, $2,450. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thanks for sharing this, Caterina. Hope you get there. God bless
Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more!
