Start-up fund for Babatunde: reopening a laundry service after floodwater
Babatunde lost two washing machines and a dryer to floodwater and needs $700 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For six years I have run a laundry service in Gwagwalada. In February, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $460
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $115
• Shop repairs and licensing: $40
• Working capital for the first month: $85
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Babatunde?
Hope it all works out, Babatunde. Hope you make a strong comeback. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
rooting for you, Babatunde. Hope you make a strong comeback. God bless.
Praying for you, Babatunde. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
good luck, Babatunde. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Rooting for you, Babatunde. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Gwagwalada
