Start-up fund for Ani: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a long illness and repossession
Ani has run a neighborhood bakery for twelve years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $450 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Bogor. In August, a long illness and repossession took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $210
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $100
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending strength, Ani. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best
thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. Love from Cầu Giấy.
