Start-up fund for Angela: reopening a fish stall after a storm that collapsed the roof

Angela has run a fish stall for nine years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $2,300 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a fish stall in Turin. In May, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,300 goes: • Replacing a freezer and scales: $1,200 • Initial stock: the first catch: $200 • Shop repairs and licensing: $510 • Working capital for the first month: $390 Thanks for being kind about this. - Angela

Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out.
