Start-up fund for Aishwarya: reopening a barbershop after a long illness and repossession
Aishwarya has run a barbershop for fifteen years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $300 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Pune. In February, a long illness and repossession took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Initial stock: supplies: $80
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $190
• Working capital for the first month: $30
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Addis Ababa.
