William was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March. The oncology team at Syracuse Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. William is 46, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Syracuse Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,250 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $800 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,700 • Scans and lab work: $750 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
