William was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October. The oncology team at San Jose Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. William is 25, worked as a hairdresser until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Jose Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,350 goes: • Transport to San Jose Regional Medical Center: $1,350 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,200 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,220 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
