Standing with William: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Bronx Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

William was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in December. The oncology team at Bronx Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
William is 47, worked as a bank teller until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bronx Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $1,400
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $510
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,700
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,240

what exactly is the $8,850 for?
Sure. The biggest one is scans and lab work, $1,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
