Standing with Wambui: stomach cancer treatment costs

Wambui was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at the Nairobi Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Wambui is 33, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Nairobi Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $870
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95
• Scans and lab work: $260
• Household costs while unable to work: $275
