Standing with Walter: stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment costs

Walter was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in May. The oncology team at the Auckland Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Walter is 36, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Auckland Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
