Standing with Victor: multiple myeloma treatment costs
Supporting Victor through multiple myeloma: medication, transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
Anywhere in the world472 views
Victor was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at the Lagos Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Victor is 52, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lagos Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $630
• Scans and lab work: $200
• Transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute: $90
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
With deep gratitude,
