Standing with Vanessa: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Vanessa is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Vanessa was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Calamba Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Vanessa is 37, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Calamba Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $165
• Scans and lab work: $140
• Transport to the Calamba Oncology Institute: $145
