Standing with Urvashi: stomach cancer treatment costs

Urvashi was diagnosed with stomach cancer in June. The oncology team at New Delhi University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Urvashi is 48, worked as a primary school teacher until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to New Delhi University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
