Standing with Tameka: thyroid cancer treatment costs
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Half-Way Tree University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Tameka was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. The oncology team at Half-Way Tree University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Tameka is 43, worked as a nurse until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Half-Way Tree University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $430
• Household costs while unable to work: $240
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,580
With deep gratitude,
Beverley

Stay strong, Beverley. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings
Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Siliguri.
Thinking of you and your family, Beverley. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
