Stephanie was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in April. The oncology team at London University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Stephanie is 58, worked as a taxi driver until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to London University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $490
• Transport to London University Hospital: $400
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $340

Hope it all works out. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
