Stanisław was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in February. The oncology team at Katowice Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Stanisław is 37, worked as a bus conductor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Katowice Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,750 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $1,000 • Transport to Katowice Cancer Centre: $450 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $300 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
