Standing with Simone: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs

Simone was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in May. The oncology team at Porto Alegre University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Simone is 52, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Porto Alegre University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
