Standing with Shailesh: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs

Shailesh was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at New Delhi Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Shailesh is 45, worked as a bank teller until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to New Delhi Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
