Standing with Sergio: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Sergio is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Sergio was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Duluth Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Sergio is 26, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Duluth Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420
• Scans and lab work: $950
• Transport to the Duluth Oncology Institute: $420
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,560
