Sérgio was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Feira de Santana Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Sérgio is 49, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Feira de Santana Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $940
• Transport to Feira de Santana Cancer Centre: $185
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
