Colorado Springs
Santiago was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at the Colorado Springs Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Santiago is 36, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Colorado Springs Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $550 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to the Colorado Springs Oncology Institute: $1,050 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
