Standing with Sabina: multiple myeloma treatment costs

Sabina was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Ahmedabad Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Sabina is 42, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ahmedabad Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
