Standing with Saad: stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment costs
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Lahore Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇵🇰 Pakistan645 views
Saad was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September. The oncology team at Lahore Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Saad is 56, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lahore Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Transport to Lahore Cancer Centre: $100
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $800
• Scans and lab work: $170
• Household costs while unable to work: $280
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
