In June I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. My oncology team at Edinburgh Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in September. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 44, I worked as a primary school teacher until June, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Edinburgh Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,050 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $360 • Transport to Edinburgh Regional Medical Center: $600 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,090 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Rylee
