Standing with Rubina: stomach cancer treatment costs
Rubina is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Rubina was diagnosed with stomach cancer in June. The oncology team at Gujranwala Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Rubina is 39, worked as a nurse until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Gujranwala Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $550 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $135
• Transport to Gujranwala Cancer Centre: $85
• Household costs while unable to work: $330
