Standing with Renato: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
10 rounds of treatment are planned at the Santos Oncology Institute; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Renato was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Santos Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Renato is 48, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Santos Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,150
• Scans and lab work: $200
• Transport to the Santos Oncology Institute: $210
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $210
• Household costs while unable to work: $680
I hope life is good to you.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Santos
Take care, Rafael. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Santos.
Wishing you peace. Wishing Renato a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
