Regina is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Regina was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Regina is 24, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,550 • Scans and lab work: $430 • Transport to Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center: $260 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230 • Household costs while unable to work: $430 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Toronto but we're thinking of you. Take care
