Standing with Raymond: colon cancer treatment costs
10 rounds of treatment are planned at San Jose University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
Anywhere in the world680 views
Raymond was diagnosed with colon cancer in April. The oncology team at San Jose University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Raymond is 57, worked as a shop owner until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Jose University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,050 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,500
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $280
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,270
Glad we found this place.

Sending good thoughts, Jennifer. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My neighbor in Savar donated after I showed her your page.
