Standing with Rahim: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Rahim is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Rahim was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in October. The oncology team at Aurangabad Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Rahim is 49, worked as a hairdresser until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Aurangabad Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $550
• Transport to Aurangabad Cancer Centre: $95
• Scans and lab work: $115
• Household costs while unable to work: $190
