Standing with Paulo: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
4 rounds of treatment are planned at São Paulo Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Paulo was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at São Paulo Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Paulo is 26, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $900
• Scans and lab work: $490
• Transport to São Paulo Regional Medical Center: $320
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $155
• Household costs while unable to work: $385
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
