Standing with Paulo: multiple myeloma treatment costs
Paulo is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Paulo was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Juiz de Fora Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Paulo is 38, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Juiz de Fora Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $200
• Transport to Juiz de Fora Cancer Centre: $320
• Household costs while unable to work: $480
• Scans and lab work: $300
