Osama was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at the El Paso Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Osama is 44, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the El Paso Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,200 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500 • Scans and lab work: $1,350 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $350 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Rania
