Standing with Orlando: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Quezon City University Hospital; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.
🇵🇭 Philippines432 views
Orlando was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Quezon City University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Orlando is 30, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Quezon City University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $660
• Scans and lab work: $270
• Transport to Quezon City University Hospital: $85
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115
• Household costs while unable to work: $170
Thanks for being kind about this.
