Standing with Nomsa: stomach cancer treatment costs
Nomsa is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Nomsa was diagnosed with stomach cancer in June. The oncology team at Soweto University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Nomsa is 33, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Soweto University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Transport to Soweto University Hospital: $165
